Kyle Ellis is originally from Sardis, Ohio.  He received his Bachelor's degree in Accounting at Ohio Northern University.  He was employed by PPG Industries as an International Logistics Analyst but left Pittsburgh in March 2010 to join the US Navy.  He has one sister and grew up in a small Southern Baptist Church in Sardis.  Kyle became a Christian at age seventeen, and while it is a daily struggle, he tries to look for opportunities to grow and be a positive influence.  Kyle enjoys playing the classical piano and classic rock jam on bass guitar and watching the Penguins and played Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" for a Sunday service at First Baptist Church during the offeratory.
 

Rebecca "Becky" Asher is originally from Ellicott City, Maryland, and completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in May 2010.  She has one sister and grew up in Grace Community Church in Columbia, Maryland.  She was baptized on November 23, 2008, at First Baptist Church, and served as the Young Adult Leader for the 2009/10 school year.  Becky was very active in campus organizations including the Student Chapter of IEEE as well as InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.  At First Baptist, she regularly participated in the Wednesday Evening Young Adult Bible Studies and activities like the digital scavenger hunt and Christmas caroling.  In her spare time, she enjoys playing the flute, baking and making desserts and then running to burn off the calories.  She spent the summer of 2009 at MIT in Boston, Massachusetts, and is now attending graduate school there. 

 
 
Thomas Raglin grew up in Pittsburgh, where he has attended First Baptist Church since he was four years old and was baptized when he was thirteen.  He has participated in the Global Links service project with the young adults and is a regular volunteer with Vacation Bible School and a coffee hour host.  Thomas graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School in June where he particiapted in "Summer in the City" at Point Park University.  In high school, he started a comedy club called the Chocolate Parade, was on the advisory board for student affairs, and participated in the Pittsburgh Partnership program.  He enjoys hanging out with his friends, playing video games, and making digital shorts.  In the Fall of 2009, he began classes at California University of Pennsylvania to pursue a career in electronic engineering or making prosthetics.
 
 
 
Tom Li was born in Zhengzhou, China, and immigrated to the United States in 1994.  He grew up in New York State, having lived in Syracuse, New York City, and Long Island.  He started attending church shortly after coming to the United States and was baptized in Syracuse in 1998.  Tom attended First Baptist Church since August 2006  shortly after moving into college and participated in the Wednesday Young Adult Bible Study, Global Links and several social activities.  He completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at Carnegie Mellon University in May 2010 and returned home to New York.  In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, dining out, using the computer, cycling, photography, and watching television. 
 
Rohit Patnaik was born in Chandigarh, India, and raised there and later in Delhi, India.  He came to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for an undergraduate education in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Carnegie Mellon University, and stayed on at CMU for graduate study in ECE.  He graduated in 2009 and is now at Texas A & M.  Rohit was baptized May 2007 and joined First Baptist Church where he was served as a deacon, helped with Vacation Bible School and was one of the founding members and leader of the Young Adult Group 2008/09.  His enthusiasm as well as his photography and computer skills were invaluable in establishing the Young Adult Group.
 
Paul Obeng-Okyere was born in Ghana but considers Hartford, Connecticut, to be his home.  He graduated from Dewitt Cinton High school and from Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts in History.  He is currently a graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh.  He came to First Baptist Church in 2009 and joined the Young Adult Group for sorting medical supplies at Global Links as well as the progressive dinner in the fall..  In his spare time, he enjoys soccer, music, watching sports.  He has three siblings and has lived in five different cities in the past four years.
 
Marla Bomersbach is originally from San Antonio, Texas. She received her Bachelor's degree in Linguistics from Baylor University and completed graduate study in Linguistics at the University of Pittsburgh in 2009. She was home schooled and has three younger sisters and a brother whom she is still very close to despite the physical distance and attends their activities as she can. Marla was one of the student leaders of the Young Adult Group and coordinated Christmas caroling as well as an ice skating outing. She helped with music and was a craft leader in Vacation Bible School 2008. After graduation, she returned to Texas before going to China to teach.
 
 
Beth Hocking was one of the student leaders in the Young Adult Group and participated regularly in Wednesday night bible studies. She is an undergraduate Senior at the University of Pittsburgh, double majoring in chemistry and history. She loves her FBC family and participates in choir, Wednesday Night Bible study and other activities like the Progressive Dinner. When not attending college in Pittsburgh, Beth is at home in Somers, Connecticut, with her parents, brother and twin sister and two adorable cats, Sasha and Coco. She also has a black belt in karate. Beth will be graduating this year and moving on to MIT for her graduate studies! We will miss her!
