Ogle Burks Duff grew up in Charleston, West Virginia, where she graduated from Garnet High School. She later received a Bachelor of Science in Eduction from West Virginia State College, a Master's degree at Marshall University and a PhD in English Education from the University of Pittsburgh where she taught for many years before retiring. She has two daughter, Andrea Renee and Yvonne Marie. Ogle came to First Baptist in the 1980's, often hosts coffee hour and is the driving force behind the African American Read-In held each February during Black History Month. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, theater, football and other sports.
